BROOKLYN, NY - March 1, 2008 - Design Green Now is a series of public panel discussions exploring the integration of innovative tools in the greening of consumer products. These sessions will inspire and empower emerging designers to build a sustainable future NOW!

The ongoing series kicked off April 1, 2008 at Western Washington University and continues down the west coast to other distinguished universities that make sustainable design education a must.

April 11 California State University – Long Beach, CA

Panelists include designers from top consultancies along side leading green producers like the sportswear company Nau and wetsuit maker Body Glove. They share their current green projects, the challenges they face and the tools they use for successful sustainable design.

The discussions will highlight sustainable materials, product life cycles and social impact.

Australian Innovation Initiative
Rob Curedale was invited to contibute to a discussion initiated by the Australian Government and the Australian National University aimed at creating more innovation Down Under. Australia has cerated some new initiatives which lead the world including regulation to ban the use of incandescent light bulbs nationally which is equivalent to taking one million vehicles off the road in terms of environmental impact.
